How it works
How ScanPrint works
Four steps, from installing the app to printing a paid job.
-
1
Sign up and set up your shop
Download the app and sign up with your phone number. Add your printer and your own UPI ID. Nobody needs to visit — the whole setup is done by you, in the app, in a few minutes.
-
2
Put up your counter code
ScanPrint gives your shop one address, as a QR code. Print it and stick it at the counter. It never changes, even if you rename your shop.
-
3
A student sends their file and pays
They scan the code, choose their options (copies, colour, sides), and see the exact price before sending anything. They pay by UPI — straight to your own account — or choose cash at the counter. The file is deleted once it's printed, or after 3 hours either way, whichever comes first.
-
4
You print from the queue
The job appears in your app with a number and the student's first name. Tap once to print, or turn on auto-print for jobs that are already paid — it pauses itself the moment a printer has a problem.
What stays on your side
Your day's cash, UPI and unpaid totals — the hisab — live only on your shop's own PC. ScanPrint's server keeps counts for the queue, never amounts or names.
What ScanPrint never does
- Hold or move your money. Payment links and QR codes always carry your own UPI ID.
- Look inside a student's file, or pull out ID-document details. Every upload is treated the same way, deleted the same way.
- Block printing because of a plan or a payment. A lapsed plan moves your shop to a free tier that still prints.
